Hello!!!!
While doing some additional research on OI, I came across this book titled The Seeds of Sadness by Gemma Geisman. I had the opportunity to read this book and if you read books the way I do you feel as if you are personally there with her! There were some points in the book that made me upset especially after her son was born and the lack of treatment that he received. I do recommend that  you check this book out if you have the time.

  Thanks

  2. Rebecca,
I loved that book! I am glad we all got to read it and I thought it was very helpful. Did the child in the book have OI? It was awhile ago when we read it, just trying to remember!

  3. Yes the child did have OI, his mother wrote the the book from her own personal experiences while she was pregnant with him and through his years growing up. She talked about how things were when she was pregnant and the way people treated him when it was tim for him to receive an education. Many people had the notion that since he suffered from an physical defect they thought that his brain was also affected. Many teachers did not want to help with his schooling because they felt that they were not prepre to handle him.
